Basically, you have two choices associated with the broken Moon Lantern in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3). The first choice includes setting the Pixie free from inside the lantern. And the other choice includes keeping her trapped. Let me tell you that freeing the Pixie will bless you with immunity against the curse in Shadow Cursed Lands. How to Get a New Moon Lantern in BG3

To get a completely functioning Moon Lantern in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll have to defeat an enemy known as Kar’niss. This boss enemy appears at the Ruined Battlefield while completing the “Seek Protection from the Shadow Curse” quest. You can loot a Moon Lantern from this corpse after defeating him.

Also, there’s a Moon Lantern found inside Balthazar’s Room in Moonlight Tower. But to reach there, you will have to travel through the Shadow Cursed Lands which is a deadly way. But it’s possible to use a Light Cantrip or a Torch to stay away from the dark. Apart from this, you’ll have one more chance to be good to the Pixie by freeing her. But for that, you will have to complete Jaheira’s quest at the Last Light Inn. You must help her fend off an ambush and then loot a Moon Lantern from the enemies. After that, you can release the trapped Pixie and receive immunity against the Shadow Land Curse.
