In Mortal Kombat 1, the Johnny Cage Announcer Voice is a feature that had been introduced in MK11, and we are glad to report that it is here to stay. Johnny Cage is easily the most loved character in the game, and fans seem to adore his funny and sarcastic narrations a little more than his moves in combat. Keeping this in mind, the developers made sure that MK1 too, has this cosmetic item, without altering any aspects of it. This feature adds a humorous and quirky side to the game that balances out the intense and violent bloodbath that takes place during combat. Follow this guide to understand how you can unlock this feature in the game.

How to Unlock Johnny Cage Announcer Voice in MK1

  3. Once you defeat him you will unlock ‘Announcer Johnny Cage’, ‘Johnny Cage Skin’, and a few other rewards.

Mortal Kombat 1 Character Tier List

Source: Gamer Tweak. Visit MK1 Tier List: Best Mortal Kombat 1 Fighters for more information.

If you have gone through the roster but don’t want to choose someone with zero combos and strings accidentally, then here is our Mortal Kombat 1 Character Tier List to make things easy for you. The latest installment brings back most of its iconic characters with the addition of a few extras because of the new Kameo system. Excluding all the Kameo characters the game has in place, players will get to try around 23 characters from the main roster.

Each character in MK1 has its unique abilities, moves, combos, and strings. However, not all the characters you come across will be convenient to use from the get-go. Especially when you are looking for those damage combos. So if you aren’t sure which are the best characters in the main roster and which ones have the worst combo possibilities, then check out this MK1 fighters tier list guide further.

Don’t Miss | Mortal Kombat 1 Kameo Tier List

MK1 Tier List

All MK1 Characters Ranked

Here is how the Mortal Kombat 1 Character Tier List works and what it’s based on:

  • S Tier: In the S Tier, you will come across the best overall characters considering all their move sets and abilities. All of them excel in multiple fronts of combat. These characters will also have a high pick rate among players because of the combos and strings they provide and just how convenient they are. With the right Kameo combination and skill sets, players can get a variety of damage combos out of them.
  • A Tier: Characters in this list are solid in most of the aspects of combat. While you may find the combo possibilities of these characters to be a little less than the S Tier, they still can do extensive damage with their move sets. These are still reliable and are more than easy to master.
  • B Tier: In this tier, you will come across characters with very few combo possibilities in MK1. You will find these characters to be more hard to master in the game. For extensive damage, players will have to rely on the Kameo characters to continue the character combos.
  • C Tier: C Tier consists of characters that not necessarily are the worst but they are still the weakest of the bunch when compared to other MK1 characters. You will find these characters to be sluggishly slow and with even fewer damage combos than the B tier. So if you are looking to deal extensive damage then you should steer clear of these characters.

Best Mortal Kombat 1 Fighters Ranked

S Tier Johnny Cage

A Tier Shang Tsung
B Tier Ashrah
B Tier Mileena
B Tier Reiko
B Tier General Shao
B Tier Cindel
B Tier Nitara
B Tier Reptile
C Tier Tanya
C Tier Rain
C Tier Havik

As mentioned before, the S Tier characters are the absolute best characters in every condition. For example, someone like Kenshi, being one of the best zoners in the game, players can utilize his Sento abilities to their fullest.

You will find most of the characters in the A Tier like Scorpion, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, etc., and all of them have great potential in combat.

While the B Tier will take some time to adapt to they are still more than viable. Players can steer away from using C Tier characters in any combat because of their low combo possibilities and the time taken to master them.

That’s everything covered on the Mortal Kombat 1 Character Tier List of the best MK1 fighters to pick. If you are looking for an MK1 Kameo Tier List to know the best assist fighters you can select to extend the combos, here is one you should check out further. The latest Kameo mechanic brings back some of the Mortal Kombat characters as assist companions. So if you are someone who is looking for the best possible combination, then here is a Mortal Kombat 1 Kameo Tier List guide with all of the Kameo Characters ranked from best to worst.

MK1 Kameo Tier List

All MK1 Kameos Ranked

Here is how the MK1 Kameo Tier List works and what it’s based on:

  • S Tier: In the S Tier, you will come across the absolute best Kameos in MK1. These characters have the best synergy with almost every character in the game. Players will be able to extend combos and strings effectively with them being selected. You will get the hang of most of their abilities pretty quickly.
  • A Tier: Players will find the A Tier filled with overall great Kameos. Each of these characters with the right main combination can deal extensive damage to the opponent. Using them at the right moment will let you have several damage combo possibilities.
  • B Tier: In the B Tier, there are characters with good potential and combos. However, you will find them useful under certain situations which might not be the best case scenario.
  • C Tier: The C Tier will consist of Kameos with a lot less potential than any other tier in the list. You will find them very difficult to use and master all the abilities with all the combo possibilities.

Mortal Kombat fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the fan-favorite character Ermac since the launch of Mortal Kombat 1. A long-rumored character who debuted in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Ermac brings his unique telekinetic abilities to the roster as part of the Kombat Pack post-launch content. In this guide, we’ll talk about all leaks and rumors about Mortal Kombat 1 Ermac.

When Will Ermac Be Playable in Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1)?

Ermac is a red-clad ninja with telekinetic abilities. He debuted in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and has since appeared as an ally and antagonist in the Mortal Kombat universe. Ermac uses his powers to fight for the Outworld, searching for a proper ruler to lead his home realm.

While Ermac is already present in MK1’s story mode, NetherRealm Studios officially announced him as part of the Kombat Pack DLC lineup. This suggests his model and moves are complete, awaiting release. With his content seemingly finished, Ermac has a strong chance to be one of the earlier DLC fighters to drop after Omni-Man’s fall launch. A January date would space out releases well in the first quarter 2024.

Ermac’s Abilities

Some sources suggest that Ermac could have unique traits such as teleportation and mind control. Based on his past appearances in the MK series, here are some abilities guesses:

  • Telekinetic Abilities: As always, Ermac will utilize his command over telekinesis. Expect a variety of basic moves and strings involving throwing psychic objects or energy blasts.
  • Soul Lift: His signature move of lifting opponents off the ground with his mind is almost certain to return. Could set up juggles and combos.
  • Teleport: Ninjas often have a teleport ability, so Ermac may be able to fade in and out of view to catch foes off guard.
  • Soul Ball: One of his most iconic specials is summoning orbs of souls that he directs towards opponents. This would fit his character well.
  • Aerial Attacks: Given his flight/levitation, Ermac could have aerial specials like dropkicks or diving punches to attack from above.

This was everything about Ermac in Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1). If you want to know more about the game, check out our MK1 guides.

Mortal Kombat 1 is all about brutal finishes and the iconic fatalities but many players cannot make the MK1 Easy Fatalities work. While Fatalities has been around for quite some time, you have to press several buttons to make it work. Fortunately, the Easy Fatalities is only a couple of buttons and hence players want to make it work. While it is not a bug, this issue is bugging the players and in this guide, we will explain how you can make the Easy Fatalities work.

How to Fix Easy Fatalities Not Working in MK1

Mortal Kombat 1 Easy Fatalities Not Working

The Easy Fatalities not working is not exactly a bug or an error in MK1. Players will need a particular currency called Easy Fatality Tokens. Without these Tokens, the Easy Fatalities won’t work at all in Mortal Kombat 1. If you are wondering how to get the Easy Fatality Tokens, they can only be purchased in the Mortal Kombat 1 store with the premium currency called Dragon Crystals.

If you head over to the move lists in your menu and look under Fatalities in Finishers, you will be able to spot the Easy Fatalities and how easily players can achieve it in MK1. However, Dragon Crystals are not easy to farm and players will have to spend some money. Having said that, the Easy Fatality Tokens aren’t cheap either.

  • 5 Easy Fatality Tokens – 100 Dragon Crystals
  • 40 Easy Fatality Tokens – 800 Dragon Crystals
  • 100 Easy Fatality Tokens – 2,000 Dragon Crystals

If you had purchased the Mortal Kombat 1 premium edition, you would have unlocked some of this currency. However, basic edition players will have to spend some money now and then to use Easy Fatalities in MK1.

That’s all we have on Easy Fatalities Not Working in Mortal Kombat 1. If you found this guide useful, do check out our other MK1 Guides while you are here at Gamer Tweak.

Are MK1 Servers Down How To Check Server Status

Source: Gamer Tweak. Visit Are Mortal Kombat 1 Servers Down? MK1 Server Status for more information.

If you are facing connection issues with Mortal Kombat 1 the servers could be down. Being an online game these issues are bound to happen. There could be various reasons for it like too many players trying to play at the same time, some possible outage, or more. Regardless of whatever the reason is, here is how you can check the server status of MK1.

Are Mortal Kombat 1 Servers Down? How to Check Server Status

How To Check If Mortal Kombat 1 Status Are Servers Down

The best place to check if MK1 servers are down for maintenance is at their official Twitter account. Here you can find the developer’s tweet regarding when the downtime will start. They usually also explain what they are fixing in the update and when the servers will be back up.

In case there is no latest update on their Twitter then here is what you do:

  • Check Downdetector: This is another good source where you can check if others are having issues with the game. It shows you all the outages reported for the game in the last 24 hours.

How Long will the MK1 Servers be Down?

There can’t always be an estimated time available for how long the servers will stay down. As mentioned above, they should usually update on Twitter about how long the maintenance should last. But depending on the issue with the servers, fixing may take some time. For example, in cases of sudden outages, it may take longer than a few hours to get them back and running normally.

How to Troubleshoot for MK1 Connection Issues

Since these are server issues, the problem lies at the game’s end. So there isn’t effectively anything that you can do to fix that. But in case you find the servers are working properly and you are still facing the issues, then here is what you can do:

  • Check your Internet connection: There is a good chance you are not able to connect to the servers because your internet might not be working. Do a speed test to see if it is working. Check things like if the ethernet is still connected or if it accidentally plugged out.
  • Refresh your connection: If you find your internet is working but not at its usual speed then you can refresh it. Try rebooting your router for a wireless connection. As for players using a wired connection you can try plugging out your Ethernet and plugging it in after waiting for a while.
  • Try using a Wired connection: A wired connection gives you a better and more stable connection. It may help you avoid getting disconnected and with other possible connection issues.
