For more than two decades, One Piece has kept fans on the hook with its engaging storyline and enormous world-building that Mangaka Eichiro Oda doesn’t seem to put down anytime soon. With Luffy’s Gear 5 finally out, many have ultimately given up on the hype and are starting out their journey of the Grand Line. Having said that, One Piece has its fair share of filler episodes and arcs that you can skip around to watch just the canon episodes.

If you are starting out on the great pirate adventures of Luffy and his Strawhat crew, then here is a complete One Piece Filler list of all the episodes and Arcs. Is Skypiea a Filler Arc in One Piece?

Is Skypiea Filler Arc In One Piece?

To get straight to the point, no, Skypiea is not a filler arc in One Piece. It is the thirteenth canon arc that Eichiro Oda drew in the One Piece manga and the final one in the Sky Island Saga. While this discussion has divided the fan base for years now, the Skypiea arc is equally important to the storyline. Many consider the progression of Strawhats throughout the arc to be affecting none of the major plotlines going forward. However, the Skypiea arc is officially a canonical arc and also important, so we would recommend not skipping the 43-episode saga. Not to mention, Luffy’s epic showdown with Enel has to be one of the best fights in One Piece.

In Loki S2E1, we got to see the God of Mischief Time Slipping on multiple occasions. A glimpse of it was already revealed in the Trailer itself. Some fans on the internet have started a discussion that raises a valid query – is Loki’s Time Slipping similar to Mile’s Glitching in Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse? Well, there are some factors that make both of them completely the same and contrasting at the same time. And in today’s article, we would like to explain that to you too.

Is Loki’s Time Slipping and Miles’ Glitching the Same?

Both of these physical issues are remarkably identical in appearance. However, Time Slipping is something that sends Loki to the past and future against his choice. He doesn’t have control over when and where he is sent to. On the other hand, Miles is Glitching in Spider-man: Across the Spiderverse because he isn’t present in his own reality or Universe. But I assure you, that Time Slipping and Glitching are nothing similar to one another. And I have a very good reason to prove that.

Is Loki's Time Slipping Similar To Mile's Glitching

The causes and remedies of these respective issues are different and I will explain them below. If not fixed, both of these problems can cause Loki and Miles to lose their existence.

Why is Loki Time Slipping?

As of Loki Season 2 Episode 1, we aren’t sure what’s the actual cause of Time Slipping. However, fans are speculating that it has something to do with Loki being sent through the Time Door by Sylvie. Or else, this is caused because of the death of He Who Remains. There are several reasons for that and I guess, we will get our answers in Episode 2 of Loki. Thanks to Ouroboros who built a Temporal Aura Extractor to fix Time Slipping.

Why is Miles Glitching in Across the Spider-Verse?

Miles’s Glitching is happening because he is traveling through the Multiverse using the Spider Society’s Teleporter. While being teleported, there is a molecular instability in the body that causes Miles or any other Spiderman to Glitch outside of their reality. Thanks to Miguel O’Hara (Spider-Man 2099) who got Miles’s Glitching fixed in the Spiderverse with a Multiverse Wristband.

Time Slipping and Glitching are shown as consequences of messing with Time and Reality. You will know more about it once the rest of the episodes of Loki Season 2 drop.

If you haven’t followed the complete MCU watch order, it might seem that Kang the Conqueror and He Who Remains are the same person. Being played by Jonathan Majors, Kang has appeared in Antman 3 and Loki season 1 finale as two variants which may fuel the confusion. That being said, both these variants have met their demise and an early end. But as He who Remains says during the Loki S01 finale to Sylvie, I’ll see you soon. With the emergence of Multiverse and his death, endless variants of Kang the Conqueror are ready for a war in the MCU.

So, are these two Kang variants connected in any way? Is He Who Remains the same as Kang the Conqueror? Here’s where you can find out if Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania’s Kang is the same as Loki’s He Who Remains.

Disclaimer: There are heavy spoilers related to Loki Season 1 and Antman 3. So, if you mind such spoilers, now is the best time to head back, and check once you’re all caught up.

Is He Who Remains Kang the Conqueror?

are kang and he who remains the same person

No. Let me cut straight to the chase, He who Remains and Antman 3’s Kang the Conqueror are not the same. Both these characters are different individual variants of the same character. Debuting his first appearance in MCU during Loki Season 1, He Who Remains is a variant of Nathaniel Richards aka Kang. While we are about to meet more versions of him across MCU’s upcoming phases or Loki season 2, he was implied to be the least evil out of them all. Maintaining the Sacred Timeline, he contained his alter-variants by harnessing the power of Alioth.

Since different realities started branching out after his death, he’s the indirect cause of Multiverse. Thus, unleashing his infinite versions and Kang the Conqueror, an eviler variant as seen in Antman 3. He was exiled to the Quantum Realm by the Council of Kangs as he was set to erase them from other realities. But once Kang meets Janet Van Dyne, he gets on with his Multiverse dominance plans and repairs his machine to traverse through. With both the characters stranded in the Quantum Realm, Janet helps him repair the Multiverse-travelling ship until she realizes his true intentions to conquer the Multiverse. As a result, she steals the ship’s Energy Core to entrap him over there.

Kang the Conqueror vs He Who Remains – Who’s More Powerful?

are kang and he who remains the same person
marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com

Despite Kang’s hatred and sheer power, Loki season 1’s finale proved that He Who Remains managed to outsmart every Kang version. He ended the Multiversal War while creating the Sacred Timeline and preventing more of his variants through TVA.

However, as seen from Antman 3, Kang cannot be underestimated either. He can control matter at the flick of his fingers by using the neuro-kinetic Armor. This also allowed him to create massive shockwaves, fire beams, superhuman endurance, and more amazing powers. But considering Kang the Conqueror couldn’t overpower the Council of Kangs aka the Kang Dynasty, it seems he might not be as powerful as He Who Remains. We’re ready to take this back if he somehow survived the events of Antman 3 as feared by Scott Lang.

Keeping these two variants aside, we’ve got bigger things at hand with Antman 3’s end credits scene. With thousands of different variants, the Council of Kangs seems to be a much larger problem than both combined. While both the variants weren’t any good, they wanted to save Multiverse. Scott is haunted by the fact, that something bad is coming, and as warned by Kang, everyone will die if he’s not out. Since the Council imprisoned him for trying to kill them all, he might be the only way to deal with them.

But is he any better? Hell no. If the events of the Avengers: Kang Dynasty do revive the Conqueror to deal with the Council, we’re back to square one, again.

That’s all about if the Kang and He Who Remains are the same person. If you enjoyed reading this, check out what to watch before Loki season 2, who is Ouroboros, and is he Evil, and explore more Entertainment-related content right here on Gamer Tweak.

The estimated age of Levi Ackerman in Season 4 is around 35 to 38 years in AOT. The Humanity’s Strongest Soldier is undoubtedly one of the best characters in the anime and arguably the character with the most fan base out there. After the time skip of four years, Levi appeared as the squad captain and is believed to be 35 to 38 years of age during Eren’s final plan. Even after surviving fatal blows during the final season, Levi still stood its ground till the final run of the series.

Marvel Phase 5’s Loki Season 2 introduces many exciting fresh characters to the MCU. One of these characters includes Ouroboros aka O.B. as the chief (and the only) engineer of the TVA. Since season 1 ended with the death of “He who remains”, the sole variant of Kang the Conqueror, there will be multiple versions of him branching out from various realities. If you have seen the end of Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania, you might also be anticipating Victor Timely, another version of Kang. But that being said, the introduction of Ouroboros played by Ke Huy Quan is the most refreshing addition to MCU.

But is he evil? How is Ouroboros connected to the history of Marvel Comics? And does he have any ties to the Norse mythology? Here’s where you can find out who is Loki season 2’s Ouroboros in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Who is Ouroboros in Loki Season 2?

who is ouroboros in loki season 2 is he evil

Ouroboros aka O.B. is revealed to be the chief and sole engineer of Repairs and Advancement at the Time Variance Authority (TVA). He is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all the time-travel devices by TVA members. From the brief glimpse we got, it doesn’t look like he has anywhere to go or a personal life. Just like other members, his work seems to be his entire life.

This may seem because he might have been memory-wiped by He Who Remains (HWR). But as he remembers the conversations with Loki and Mobius clearly, it seems HWR might have missed out on this TVA member. Further adding, he also remembers toiling away over here for 400 years without any visitors. Due to his life being so isolated in TVA and away from other members, he might not have been considered a threat by HWR.

This means he could have some pivotal info about Kang the Conqueror that might help out Loki and Mobius. While it feels a bit stretched, he might even point them both to Victor Timely at some point.

Is Ouroboros Evil?

who is ouroboros in loki season 2 is he evil

No, there isn’t any highlight or foreshadowing that indicates Ouroboros is evil in Loki S02 so far. Considering Ancient mythology and folklore, Ouroboros translates to a snake or dragon devouring its own tail. It’s a symbolic iconography indicating the constant birth and death while being reborn from itself. This means balance in all planes of existence. In Norse mythology, Ouroboros is known as the Midgard Serpent who is eventually killed by Thor during the events of Ragnarok.

Similarly, Loki’s Ouroboros also seems to have no beginning or end till now. However, this version of Ouroboros or O.B. doesn’t seem like an evil guy. But if he was to turn evil at some point, the MCU would need a pretty good reason.

Ke Huy Quan Plays the Ouroboros in Loki Season 2

Ke Huy Quan is famously known for playing Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). Following the fame, he also played Data in the Goonies (1985). After landing a few roles in the ’90s, the actor took a 19-year break from acting until he returned to acting in movies like Finding ‘Ohana (2021) and Everything Everywhere All at Once (2023). The latter movie got him several critical accolades including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and a call from Kevin Fiege to join the MCU project. It will be pretty exciting to see what the future holds for this character.

That’s all about Who is Ouroboros in Loki Season 2 and if he is evil. If you enjoyed reading this, check out the 8 MCU Titles you should watch before Loki Season 2, and explore more Entertainment-related content to keep you updated right here on Gamer Tweak.

If you are going through Jujutsu Kaisen, you would want to know all about the iconic side character Gojo Satoru. And one of the most asked questions in this matter is why does Gojo Satoru wear a Blindfold in Jujutsu Kaisen. But before we go on and answer that, this is a spoiler warning and you have been warned.

Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen brings a fresh change with the Hidden Inventory Arc or Gojo’s Past Arc where we get to see a young Gojo along with other well known characters like Geto, Shoko, Nanami, and others. During this arc, we can see Gojo wearing dark sunglasses instead of his iconic blindfold. So what brought the change of eyewear? Well, a surge of power would be a simple answer. But obviously there is more to it. The Six Eyes and Limitless drain a lot of power from Gojo and as a result he absolutely has to wear the blindfold.

Why Gojo Satoru Wears a Blindfold in Jujutsu Kaisen?

JJK Gojo Satoru Blindfold Sunglasses Explained

Gojo Satoru Wears A Blindfold In Jujutsu Kaisen to avoid unnecessary fatigue. Since he needs his energy against cursed spirits many of which are usually Special Grade curses, it would be a waste for him to let the Limitless and Six Eyes drain all of it. Covering his eyes are a way for him to maintain stable energy. In JJK, Gojo has covered his eyes with bandages, sunglasses and a blindfold.

Even in the Hidden Inventory Arc, the sunglasses that sports are too dark for anyone apart from Gojo to see (as we see Shoko try them). However, since he was yet to unlock the full potential of his abilities, the sunglasses worked well enough.

Also Read | Is Gojo Dead In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2?

Why Young Gojo Wears Sunglasses in JJK?

It’s after the fight with Toji Fushiguro that he improves on his Limitless abilities. The Limitless technique worked automatically after that as opposed to earlier when he turned it on or off depending on his stamina. Additionally, he is yet to master Domain Expansion at this point which would increase his potential even further. Until Gojo met Megumi’s Dad, he had not fought an actually tough battle and it’s here where he improves his powers drastically. So it’s safe to say that the sunglasses were good enough for Gojo to save his energy.

All of this is bound to drain his energy even more and to avoid that, Gojo Satoru Wears A Blindfold In Jujutsu Kaisen. Since you are interested in Jujutsu Kaisen, you should check out JJK Arcs in Order. For more Anime coverage, do check out our dedicated section here at Gamer Tweak.

Death Note has garnered widespread popularity during its run as manga as well as 2006’s popular anime adaptation. And till this day one can see anime watchers visiting the anime back time and time again. The exhilarating story of Death Note took the community by storm ever since its first chapter was released. Before we go any further, there will be spoilers ahead from the anime as well as the manga. So if you haven’t yet watched it, we would recommend you turn back now.

The plot follows a genius high school prodigy named Light Yagami when he comes across a mysterious book called The Death Note. The book belongs to a shinigami named Ryuk, who purposely drops it from his realm.

Light soon discovers that the book grants the ability to the user to kill anyone by writing their name on the pages. However, there are some rules that the users must follow in order to use the ability. So if you are an avid manga reader or anime fan who wants to know all the Death Note Rules there or someone who is a few episodes in and wants to know the rules for fun, here is the list of all of them and how to use it.

Death Note Rules Explained

How To Use Death Note

The first five basic rules of Death Note are written by Ryuk himself on the inside of the cover. The shinigami writes them for the purpose of guiding the user to the book’s basic usage. While the manga only consisted of these five rules and the anime adapted the same, the official encyclopedia of Death Note named Death Note 13: How to Read, features a complete list of rules that the users can go through. The list below contains all of the Death Note Rules divided into sections on how to use it, Ownership, and the Shinigami Rule:

Entering Names in Death Note

  1. The human whose name is written in this note shall die. This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject’s face in mind when writing his/her name. This is to prevent people who share the same name from being affected.
  2. The Death Note will not ever affect a victim whose name has been misspelled four times.
  3. When the same name is written in two or more Death Notes, the Note which was used first will take effect, regardless of the time of death.
  4. If the same name is written in two or more Death Notes within 0.06 seconds, the entry is regarded as simultaneous; the Death Notes will not take effect and the individual will not die.
  5. If a Death Note owner accidentally misspells a person’s name four times, that person will be free from being killed by the Death Note. However, if the Death Note owner intentionally misspells the name four times, the owner will die.
  6. The Death Note will not take effect if a victim’s name is written on several different pages. However, the front and back of a page are considered to be one page. For example, the Death Note will still take effect if the victim’s last name is written on the front page and first name on the back.

Entering the Causes and Conditions of Death in Death Note

  1. If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of the subject’s name, it will happen.
  2. If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will die of a heart attack.
  3. After writing the cause of death, the details of death should be entered within the next six minutes and 40 seconds.
  4. If the time of death is specified within 40 seconds after writing the cause of death as a heart attack, the time of death can be manipulated and can go into effect within 40 seconds after writing the name.
  5. The conditions of death will not be realized unless they are physically possible for that human or could be reasonably assumed to be carried out by that human.
  6. Since the limitations applying to the conditions of death are unknown to the Shinigami, Death Note owners must find out on their own.
  7. You may write the cause and/or details of death prior to filling in the name of the individual. Be sure to insert the name in front of the cause of death. You have about 19 days (according to the human calendar) to fill in a name.
  8. S*icide is a universally valid cause of death as all humans are thought to possess the potential to commit s*icide. It is, therefore, something that may be reasonably assumed of an individual.
  9. Whether the cause of the individual’s death is either s*icide or an accident, if it would lead to the death of more than the intended victim, the person will simply die of a heart attack. This is to ensure that other lives are not impacted.
  10. After an individual’s name, time of death, and conditions of death are entered in the notebook, the time and conditions of death may be altered as many times as desired as long as they are changed within six minutes and 40 seconds from the time they are filled in. But, of course, this is only possible before the victim dies.
  11. If you write “dies of accident” for the cause of death, the victim will die from a natural accident six minutes and 40 seconds after the time of entry.
  12. Even if only one name is written in the Death Note, if the victim’s death causes other humans that are not written in it to die, the cause of death will default to a heart attack.
  13. If you write “dies from disease” and specify which disease and the time of death, there must be a sufficient amount of time for the disease to progress. If the set time is too tight, the victim will die of a heart attack six minutes and 40 seconds after the entry in the Death Note.
  14. If you write, “dies from disease” as the cause of death but specify only a time of death and not the actual disease, the victim will die from a plausible disease.
  15. The Death Note can only operate within a 23-day window (in the human calendar). This is called the 23-Day rule.
  16. If you write “dies from disease” and specify which disease but not a time of death, if the progression of the disease takes more than 24 days, the 23-Day rules will not take effect and the human will die at an appropriate time depending on the disease. However, rewriting the cause and/or details of death must be done within six minutes and 40 seconds: you cannot change the victim’s time of death, however soon it may be.
  17. In order for the Death Note to take effect the victim’s name must be written on one page; however, the cause and conditions of death may be entered on other pages. This will work as long as the person who writes in the Death Note keeps the specific victim’s name in mind when writing the cause and conditions of death.
  18. If the cause and conditions of death are written in before the victim’s name is, multiple names can be written as long as they are entered within 40 seconds and the cause and conditions of death are not impossible. In the event that the cause of death is possible but the conditions are not, only the cause of death will take effect for that victim. If both the cause and the conditions are impossible, that victim will die of a heart attack.
  19. When you write multiple names in the Death Note and then write down one cause of death within 40 seconds of writing the first victim’s name, the cause will take effect for all the written names. Also, after writing the cause of death, even if the conditions of death are written within six minutes and 40 seconds in the human world, the conditions will apply only to the victims for whom they are possible. Those for whom the conditions are not possible will simply die from the specified cause.
  20. A human death caused by the Death Note can indirectly lengthen another human’s original life span in the human world even without the owner’s specific intention to do so.
  21. Once the victim’s name, cause of death, and conditions of death have been written down in the Death Note, the death will take place even if that Death Note, or the part of the note used, is destroyed before the stated time of death.
  22. If the victim’s name has been entered and the Death Note is destroyed while the cause of death is being written, the victim will be killed by a heart attack 40 seconds after the name was entered. If the victim’s name and cause of death have already been written, then the victim will be killed within six minutes and 40 seconds via the stated cause of death if it is possible within that period of time. Otherwise, the victim will die by heart attack.

Alterations

  1. If you wish to change anything written in the Death Note within six minutes and 40 seconds after you wrote it, you must first rule out the characters you want to erase with two straight lines. The time and conditions of death can be changed, but once the victim’s name has been written, that individual’s death can never be averted.
  2. It is useless to try to erase names written in the Death Note with erasers or to white them out.
  3. Even if a new victim’s name, cause of death, or conditions of death are written on top of the original victim’s name, cause of death, or conditions of death, there will be no effect on the original victim’s death. The same thing will also apply to erasing what was written with a pencil, or whiting out what was written with a pen.

Limitations

  1. The Death Note will not affect those less than 780 days old.
  2. You cannot kill humans who are more than 124 years of age with the Death Note.
  3. You cannot kill humans with less than 12 minutes of life left (in human calculations).
  4. You cannot set a death date longer than the victim’s original lifespan. Even if the victim’s death is entered in the Death Note, if it is beyond his or her original lifespan, the victim will die before the set time.

Other Things

  1. The human who uses this note can go neither to Heaven nor to Hell.
  2. One page taken from the Death Note, or even a fragment of the page, possesses the full power of the note.
  3. Any writing instrument or medium (cosmetics, blood, etc.) may be used, as long as it can write directly onto the note and create legible text.

Ownership

  1. This note shall become the property of the human world once it touches ground in the human world.
  2. The owner of a Death Note can recognize the image and voice of the original owner – a Shinigami, for example.
  3. The human who touches the Death Note can recognize the image and voice of its Shinigami owner, even if the human is not the owner of the note.
  4. Whenever a Shinigami in the human world dies and leaves behind its Death Note, the note’s finder automatically becomes the owner. However, in this case, only a human who can see and hear that Shinigami is able to see and touch the Death Note. It is very unlikely, but if by any chance another Shinigami picks up the Death Note, that Shinigami becomes the owner.

Situations

  1. If you lose the Death Note or have it stolen, you will lose its ownership unless you can retrieve it within 490 days.
  2. When the owner of the Death Note dies while the note is on loan, its ownership will be transferred to the person who is holding it at that time. If the Death Note is stolen and the owner is killed by the thief, its ownership will automatically be transferred to the thief.
  3. The individuals who lose ownership of a Death Note will also lose their memories of it. However, this does not mean that they will lose all memories from the period of ownership: they will only lose the memories involving the Death Note.
  4. When an individual with ownership of more than two Death Notes loses possession of one of them, he will no longer be able to recognize or hear that Death Note’s Shinigami anymore. The Shinigami will leave, but all the memories involving the Death Note will remain to the owner as long as he maintains ownership of at least one other Death Note.
  5. If a person loses possession of a Death Note he will not recognize its Shinigami by sight or voice anymore. However, if the owner lets someone else touch that Death Note, from that time on that person will continue to recognize the Shinigami’s appearance and voice until he or she actually becomes the owner of the Death Note and subsequently loses possession of it.
  6. When regaining ownership of a Death Note, the memories associated with it will also return. In cases where the owner was involved with other Death Notes as well, memories of all the Death Notes involved will return. The memories will return just by touching the Death Note, even without obtaining ownership of it.
  7. Memories related to a Death Note are lost when its ownership is lost. But they may be regained by either obtaining ownership once again or by touching the Death Note. This can be done up to six times per Death Note. Any times more than that, the person’s memory of the Death Note will not return and they will have to use it without any previous memory of it.
  8. Even if you do not actually possess the Death Note, you may still use it to full effect.
  9. You may lend the Death Note to another person while maintaining its ownership. The borrower may lend it to yet another person as well.
  10. The person who borrows the Death Note will not be followed by a Shinigami. The Shinigami always remains with the owner of the Death Note. Also, the borrower cannot trade for the Shinigami Eyes.
  11. Only by touching each other’s Death Notes can owners recognize the appearance or voice of each other’s Shinigami.
  12. Losing memory of the Death Note by passing the ownership to another or by abandoning ownership will only occur when someone is actually killed using that Death Note. You will not lose memory of the Death Note if, for example, you merely owned it and did not write down anyone’s name. In this case, you will not be able to hear or see the Shinigami anymore. You will also lose the power of the Shinigami Eyes if you made the trade.

Shinigami Rules

  1. The human owner of a Death Note is possessed by its original Shinigami owner until he or she dies.
  2. If a human uses a Death Note, its Shinigami owner must appear in front of the human within 39 days after he or she uses the note.
  3. The original Shinigami owners of Death Notes don’t, in principle, do anything to help or prevent the deaths brought about by the notes.
  4. A Shinigami has no obligation to completely explain how to use the note or the rules that apply to the human who owns it.
  5. The Shinigami must not tell humans the names or life spans of individuals he sees. This is to avoid confusion in the human world.
  6. A Shinigami bringing a Death Note into the human world must make sure that a human uses it. Although it is unlikely that a Shinigami who has possessed a human would die, if it does happen, the Death Note brought into the human world will not lose its power.
  7. Shinigami must not stay in the human world without a particular reason. Acceptable reasons to stay in the human world are as follows:
    • When the Shinigami’s Death Note is handed to a human.
    • Finding a human to take possession of a Death Note should be done from the Shinigami realm, but if it is within 82 hours this may also be done in the human world.
    • When a Shinigami stalks an individual with an intention to kill them, as long as it is within 82 hours of possessing them the Shinigami may stay in the human world.
  8. The Shinigami must not hand the Death Note directly to a child under six years of age (based on the human calendar). But Death Notes that have been dropped into the human world, and are part of the human world, can be used upon humans of almost any age with the same effect.
  9. The owner of a Death Note cannot be killed by a Shinigami who is in the Shinigami realm. Also, a Shinigami who comes to the human world with the objective of killing the owner of a Death Note will not be able to do so. Only a Shinigami that has passed on its Death Note to a human is able to kill the owner of the Death Note.
  10. If a Death Note is owned in the human world against a Shinigami’s will, that Shinigami is permitted to stay in the human world in order to retrieve it. In that case, if there are other Death Notes in the human world, the Shinigami are not allowed to reveal to the humans the Death Note owner’s identity or its location.
  11. If a Shinigami’s Death Note is taken away for whatever reason, it can only be retrieved from the Shinigami who possesses it at the time. If there is no Shinigami, but a human, the only way the Shinigami can get it back is to first touch the Death Note and become the one who haunts that particular human. Then they have to wait until that person dies to take it away. And they have to do it before any other human touches it.
  12. After a Shinigami brings a Death Note to the human world and gives its ownership to a human, the Shinigami has the right to kill the human using its own Death Note for any reason, such as disliking the owner.
  13. The following are cases in which a Shinigami that has brought the Death Note into the human world is allowed to return to the Shinigami realm:
    • When the Shinigami has seen the end of the first owner of the Death Note brought into the human world and has written that human’s name into his or her own Death Note.
    • When the Death Note is destroyed and cannot be used by humans anymore.
    • If nobody claims ownership of the Death Note, it is unnecessary to possess anyone.
    • If, for any reason, the Shinigami possessing the Death Note is replaced by another Shinigami.
    • When a Shinigami loses track of the Death Note that he or she possesses, or cannot identify which human owns the Death Note, or cannot locate where the owner is, and therefore needs to find such information using the observation holes in the Shinigami realm.
    • Even in cases second, third, and fourth case, Shinigami are obliged to confirm the death of the first owner and write down that human’s name in his or her Death Note even when he or she is in the Shinigami realm.
  14. In the Shinigami realm there are a few copies of what humans might call a “user handbook” for the Death Notes in the human world. Although Shinigami may not give the handbook to humans, it is perfectly okay for them to teach humans about its contents, no matter what that may be.

Usage of Death Note

  1. A Shinigami can extend its life by writing human names in a Death Note, but a human cannot. A person can only shorten his or her life by using the note.
  2. Even the original Shinigami owners of Death Notes do not know much about them.
  3. Shinigami must own at least one personal Death Note, which must never be lent to or written on by a human.
  4. Shinigami may exchange and write in each others’ Death Notes.
  5. If a Shinigami decides to use a Death Note to end the life of the killer of an individual it favors, that individual’s life will be extended but the Shinigami will die. The Shinigami will disappear but the Death Note will remain. The ownership of this Death Note is usually carried over to the next Shinigami that touches it, but it is common sense that it be returned to the Shinigami King.
  6. By manipulating the death of a human who has influence over another human’s life, that human’s original life span can sometimes be lengthened. If a Shinigami intentionally does this that Shinigami will die, but even if a human does the same, the human will not die.

Wondering which are the current Swords used by Zoro? One Piece is finally venturing into its final war saga and it’s safe to say that the Strawhats have come a long way in their journey on the Grand Line. Having said that, if there is someone who has quite literally given his blood, sweat, and tears for Luffy, then it has to be Zoro. The future Pirate King’s first mate has always been a fan favorite right from the start of the series. His quest to become the world’s greatest swordsman and protect Luffy’s ambition of becoming the Pirate King has garnered worldwide respect.

Before going any further, there will be spoilers ahead. So if you haven’t yet caught up with the recent chapters or episodes of One Piece, this is the time to turn back.

In his quest, Zoro has wielded many katanas and other sizeable weapons for his Santoryu (Three Sword Style). And while long-time fans may know that the future strongest swordsman started with just two unnamed katanas, there have been a few swords before he reached the collection he has now. With Enma at his disposal, Zoro is undoubtedly closer to achieving his promise in One Piece. So if you are wondering which katanas he is using in the recent One Piece Arcs or the name of the most cursed swords in his collection, then here is everything you need to know.

All Swords used by Zoro in One Piece Anime

The list below contains all of Zoro’s Swords in the order he came across them and what they are known for in the world of One Piece.

Unnamed Katanas

  • Anime Episode: 2
  • Manga Chapter: 5

At the start of One Piece, Zoro sets sail to challenge Dracule Hawkeye Mihawk for a duel with two unnamed Katanas alongside the Wado Ichimonji. These two unnamed katanas were given to him by Kuina’s grandfather Shimotsuki Kozaburo who was one of the members of the Shimotsuki Family. These swords were then used by Zoro for a long period of time, up until his duel with Mihawk during the Baratie arc. Along with losing the swords, Zoro also lost the duel and vowed to Luffy that he would never be defeated once again.

Wado Ichimonji

  • Anime Episode: 2
  • Manga Chapter: 5
  • Price: Beli 10,000,000+

The Wado Ichimonji is one of the 21 Great Grade Meito or the 21 Great Grade Sword. The legendary sword was handed over to Zoro by Koushirou, Kuina’s father, in One Piece. Wado Ichimonji was made by Kuina’s grandfather Shimotsuki Kozaburo himself, who was a master swordsmith in the land of Wano. He also crafted other Great Grade Meito along the lines of Wado Ichimonji. It was the only sword that didn’t shatter during his duel with Dracule Mihawk during the Baratie Arc.

Sandai Kitetsu

  • Anime Episode: 49
  • Manga Chapter: 97
  • Price: Beli 1,000,000+

After shattering his dual-wielding Katanas, Zoro was in search of blades for his journey ahead. In the Loguetown arc, he came across a sword merchant named Ipponmatsu and the Sandai Kitetsu, a Grade Blade, believed to be cursed by the merchant himself. Zoro put this theory to the test and saw if the curse of the blade was more powerful than his luck. Ipponmatsu was impressed by the spirit of Zoro and handed over the Sandai Kitetsu for free to him. The sword is regarded as the best for having great sharpness while slicing things up.

Yubashiri

  • Anime Episode: 49
  • Manga Chapter: 97

Yubashiri was one of the 50 Skillfull Grade Swords that was handed over to Zoro by Ipponmatsu, the merchant, along with the Sandai Kitetsu. After being impressed by Zoro’s luck and his spirit, the merchant passed on the blade. The sword was then used by Zoro alongside Wado Ichimonji and Sandai Kitetsu for quite a while for his Nitoryu and Santoryu. During the Enies Lobby arc in the Water 7 saga, the sword was destroyed by Marine Captain Shu using his Sabi Sabi No Mi (Rust Rust Fruit) in One Piece. Zoro then buried the remains alongside the grave site of the Rumbar Pirates on Thriller Bark.

Shusui

  • Anime Episode: 342
  • Manga Chapter: 448

Shusui is one of the 21 Great Grade Meito or the 21 Great Grade Sword also known as a Black Blade. The blade was wielded by the legendary swordsman Shimotsuki Ryuma and was robbed by Gecko Moria from his grave. It was considered one of the national treasures of the land of Wano. Zoro got his hand over Shushui after defeating Ryuma’s zombie figure in the Thriller Bark Arc. The duel ended in Zoro winning after which the swordsman handed over the blade to him.

Enma is another one of the 21 Great Grade Meito or the 21 Great Grade Swords crafted by Shimotsuki Kozabaru. The sword was a dear possession of Kozuki Oden alongside the Ame no Hakibari. It was passed onto Hiyori after the death of Kozuki Oden, who handed over Enma to Zoro on the condition of resting Shusui at Ryuma’s grave in the Wano Country Arc. Enma is undoubtedly one of the strongest swords that Zoro possesses in his current arsenal.
